I may not have a testimony like some Christians do, but that doesn't mean mine is of any lesser value. I can't testify that I was saved from a life of addiction, a past consumed by guilt, or nights spent at sinful places. Testimonies of deliverance and restoration are amazing, but that just isn't my testimony. Each life has a different story. Each Christian a sinner saved by grace.
*Romans 10:13-For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
*Ephesians 2:8-9-For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
I received Jesus Christ as my Savior at the age of 7. I don't remember who was preaching or the specific words I prayed. All I know is that night, I got saved. I asked Jesus to forgive me of my sins, told him I was sorry, and accepted him into my heart. I hadn't committed any great sins at 7 years old, but I was still a sinner and God had mercy on me. Of course, I've made mistakes since then; there are things I'm not proud of. However, the grace of God has kept from a lot of things the world has to offer. I've never smoked, drank, cussed, tried drugs, etc. So, I might not be able to relate to the world. I always believed my testimony didn't matter as much as another Christian who had been saved from a tough life. I wasn't sure how to share the love of Christ, afraid that people wouldn't take me seriously because they viewed me as a "goody goody." I didn't think my testimony held the same power as other Christians saved from a life deep in sin. But that's how my testimony is unique and just as powerful. I have committed my whole life to Jesus and lived a separate life from the world. But I could've never turned out this way if it hadn't been for the Lord. I wasn't the "worst" possible sinner, but a sinner nonetheless. I was unlovable and unworthy to be given such a great gift of salvation and the Holy Ghost working through me. *Romans 3:23-For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.* The amazing thing that makes my story similar to every Christian's story of redemption: "You thought I was worth saving, so you came and changed my life. You thought I was worth keeping, so you cleaned me up inside. You thought I was to die for, so you sacrificed your life. So I could be free. So I could be whole. So I could tell everyone I know." He thought you and I were worth saving, so He is worth sharing with the world. No matter where God brought you from, or has kept you from, don't forget that your testimony is powerful.
